BRANDT #51 NASCAR SPRINT CUP SERIES AGRICULTURE CAR ON DISPLAY AT GREAT LAKES EXPO
Grand Rapids, Michigan (December 10, 2013) – BRANDT’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series #51 "Ag Car" will be on display at the Great Lakes Fruit, Vegetable and Farm Market Expo this week. The "Ag Car" helps build awareness of the importance of agriculture and has attracted other key ag organizations, such as the FFA and Nutrients for Life, whose logos are displayed on the car. BRANDT’s Specialty Formulations will also have an exhibitor booth at the Expo to promote the company’s proprietary foliar nutrition and sustainable crop protection product offerings. The Expo is sponsored by Michigan State Horticulture Society and Michigan Vegetable Council in cooperation with Michigan State University Extension. The show attracts over 4,000 attendees from 42 states and seven Canadian provinces.

BRANDT EXPANDS PRECISION AG POSITIONING NETWORK
Springfield, Illinois (October 23, 2013) – BRANDT, a leader in technical agronomic solutions, has added a new RTK (real time kinematic) Base Station to its precision positioning network. The BRANDT network covers more than a 30 mile radius of Springfield, Illinois providing RTK-guided vehicles centimeter-grade accuracy. ALLGAIER COMES BACK FROM TWO SPINS TO FINISH 27TH IN SPRINT CUP DEBUT
JOLIET, Ill. (September 16, 2013) – Justin Allgaier’s return to his home state was done in style. The 27-year-old Riverton, Ill. native made his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) debut on Sunday at Chicagoland Speedway (CLS) with Phoenix Racing. Allgaier’s first laps in the Gen 6 Sprint Cup car came during the first practice session on Friday afternoon at CLS. Allgaier spent the practice session getting acclimated to the car and logged 19 laps. Following the first practice, Allgaier took to the track for qualifying in his No. 51 BRANDT Professional Agriculture SS. After his first time qualifying the Chevy SS, Allgaier posted a time of 29.335 seconds, which earned him the 36th starting spot. On Saturday, Allgaier completed two additional NSCS practice sessions and ran a total of 91 laps. After rain delayed the start of the 267-lap Geico 400, Allgaier raced his way up to the 28th position before the red flag was displayed for a little over five hours due to precipitation. After getting back in the No. 51 car shortly after 9 p.m. local time, Allgaier battled back from spinning two times and brought the No. 51 BRANDT Professional Agriculture Chevrolet SS home in the 27th position in his NSCS debut. SPRINGFIELD, Illinois (August 28, 2013) – BRANDT®, a leading agriculture retailer and manufacturer of agricultural specialty products, announced today it will sponsor three races in the Phoenix Racing No. 51 Chevrolet driven by Justin Allgaier in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in 2013.
Earlier today, Harry Scott, Jr. announced a definitive agreement to purchase Phoenix Racing from James Finch. Scott takes control of the team on September 10 and will immediately turn to BRANDT and Allgaier for the team’s NASCAR Sprint Cup debut. Headquartered in Springfield, IL, BRANDT will sponsor Allgaier, a Riverton, IL, native, at their home track, Chicagoland Speedway, on September 15 to honor the company’s 60th year in business. Allgaier, currently 5th in the NASCAR Nationwide Series Championship point standings, will continue to run the full-time Nationwide schedule.
BRANDT will be the primary sponsor on three of the ten NASCAR Sprint Cup Chase races in 2013. BRANDT PLACES WINNING BID FOR LINCOLN LAND BARROW
Evelyn Brandt Thomas, with the help of Illinois Governor Pat Quinn, placed the winning bid of $40,650 for the Lincoln Land barrow at the Sale of Champions at the Illinois State Fair on August 13. Proceeds of the sale go to the swine owner, the FFA, the 4-H and the Land of Lincoln Purebred Breeders Association.
EVELYN BRANDT THROWS OUT FIRST PITCH AT CARDINALS GAME

Springfield, Illinois (August 1, 2013) – This week, BRANDT hosted two Agronomy Days at its Research & Development farm in Pleasant Plains, IL. Both focused on nitrogen management (through precision ag and cover crops), weed control, growers’ best practices and new product development.
With nearly 200 attendees, the July 31 Agronomy Day farm tour featured industry, academic and local speakers. Dr. Aaron Hager, associate professor of weed science at the University of Illinois, shared a sobering view of current and future herbicide-resistant weeds.
